Current Projected

Look what people have to say about the RLYW!

CAIRO just takes the Marcels and changes the underlying assumptions and components in a bunch of ways that make the Yankees look better.

Wow, two stupid posts in one day. I think you’ve reached your yearly quota.

I don’t know if any of you current posters were around for that, but if so, I just can’t understand how you can call yourselves Yankee fans. Pathetic quitters is what you sounded like. Of the lame posts I could stand to read, the only person who had any confidence in the Yankees at that point was a (yeesh) Red Sox fan.
Jeter is King

Quite the attitude you have SG. Maybe you should shitcan this blog and join Steve at WasWatching? Or follow some other stupid team that has made the PS 15 of the last 17 years. Jeez… and some people think Yankee fans are entitled.

Tuesday, October 3, 2017 Yanks outslug Twins, will face Tribe in ALDS

The “Baby Bombers” punched their ticket for a showdown with the Indians in the American League Division Series presented by Doosan, with Didi Gregorius, Brett Gardner and Aaron Judge all homering to overcome Luis Severino’s first-inning exit, leading the Yankees to an 8-4 victory over the Twins on Tuesday in the AL Wild Card Game at Yankee Stadium.

I know they only have time for a quick blurb, but even a quick blurb that doesn’t discuss the HEROIC performance by Chad Green and David Robertson tonight is bonkers to me.

Green entered with 1 out in the FIRST INNING and the Yankees down 3-0, with runners on second and third (I would have pulled Severino before that point even, honestly). Green then struck out the next two batters to keep the score at 3-0. The Yankees then tied it on a home run by Didi in the bottom of the first. Green went further than he normally goes and he clearly tired towards the end, loading the bases with one out in the third. David Robertson entered and got a run-scoring groundout. That would be the ONLY RUN that the Yankee bullpen allowed! Robertson then struck out the next batter and continue to pitch a stunning three and one third innings, the longest outing that Robertson had ever had in his career! And amazingly enough, when he left the game in the sixth inning after a two out walk brought the tying run to the plate in the person of Joe Mauer, I thought Robertson’s pitches still looked good!! Tommy Kahnle came in and gave up some solid contact to Mauer, but it was an out.

The Yankees then added one insurance run and Kahnle and Aroldis Chapman pitched the rest of the way. Yes, the Yankees’ starter only pitched a third of an inning and the Yankees not only won, they only used four relievers to do so!

The top of the lineup was on fire tonight, with Aaron Judge and Brett Gardner also homering.

The Yankees take on the Indians in Cleveland starting on Thursday, but what’s interesting is that Cleveland isn’t using their best pitcher in Game 1, but rather going Trevor Bauer #1. Bauer has dominated the Yankees twice this season, but it’s still a bit of a surprise.

Wow…what a win. What a freakin’ win.

Good luck to the Yankees in the ALDS! Now, we have a whole day to just ENJOY this.
