Because Fox owns The YES broadcast they don’t let it start until the FS1 postgame is over.

Awesome feeling. Now I can’t sleep.

Tanaka seems to be having A LOT of fun for someone who is about to opt out…

Gray, Tanaka, severino or can severino pitch game 2?

[404] I’d go Gray game 1, Tanaka game 2 (5 days rest, isn’t he better on extra rest?), Severino game 3, CC game 4, and if they somehow don’t get swept Gray for game 5, Tanaka for game 6, and Severino game 7. I held Severino off until game 3 to line him up for game 7, but he would be on four days rest for game 2.

Edit - with Montgomery available to backup both Gray starts.

398 In an hour, 90 minutes, turn on your DVR. But it’s BS.

[403] No reason to hold back.

Just got back from the bar after the last out. The Astros are scary, because they are so different from everyone else. The NL is not. This should be a great ALCS and the winner will be the WS favorite.

How’s CC handling the Champagne?

Awesome. Judge gets asked about ‘what he takes away from all the strikeouts?’ He responds, ‘we are going to the ALCS. That’s what I take away from all this.” (As another teammate walks by and shouts, “HE GOT US HERE.”

I don’t mean any disrespect (and I love Cleveland) with this, but f’Cleveland.  Woohoo!  I love this team and everyone here.

“How did it feel to do this for Joe ?”

“For who ?”

This afternoon, prices on the AL Penant were: Yanks +450, Tribe +175, Astros -140. Weird line. Not sure why the Astros would be that big a favorite over either the Yanks or Indians.

412 Nice.

I won’t be able to sleep for a bit, but fuck it. What a great game, great win. CC was incredible, until he wasn’t and the BP was fucking lights out.

[413] They deserved comeuppance for the midges and then choking away the 3-1 lead against TWN. Also, tons of TWN fans were saying all season how they wish they had never fired Tito (Farrell was the planned scapegoat in case they didn’t win a WS after going all-in), but Tito has now lost a 3-1 and 2-1 series lead in back to back seasons.

Everyone is asking every player about Girardi getting booed, and none of them want to talk about it.

Maybe it will change on Friday when they run into their personal dragon, Keuchel. Maybe the anxieties will prove true and give way to a meaty downtrodden funk in five, six games.

But right now, it feels like this unit is going to beat three other teams in the sprint to eight wins.

[419] boo-urns?

Papi just pronounced Baltimore “Borimor.”

[422] The locals all have a speech impediment that makes it come out “Bollimer”.

I too am getting a weird vibe from the players about the Girardi thing.  Possible they…dont like him?

They seemed to be hugging him just fine on the field after the win

It’s either they don’t like him and don’t want to talk about it, or they resent the shit-stirring.

They definitely don’t want to talk about it, but I don’t think that says anything either way about whether they like Girardi. I think they just don’t want to talk about it. They want to talk about their win, not fans booing their manager three games ago.

Yeah, they also didn’t want to talk about Judge’s K’s. I think if they didn’t like Girardi, they would have just stayed down after game two instead of battling back. If they wanted him gone, getting swept was the fastest track.

It’s like when Gammo ran out onto the field in 2007 to ask the celebrating Red Sox players how they felt about A-Rod opting out.

Is Jamba just having fun, or is he that much of a meatball ?

Calling Frank Thomas “Fred”. Thinking the chinese broadcast is in russian ?

It was kinda cool when he asked Hixie “How many times did ARod pick up the dinner check ?”

Todd was talking about Girardi getting booed and he so had his back saying NY is a tough town, Girardi’s a great manager, they should’ve won ithat game anyway and they won it for him.  Bird also said everyone makes mistakes.

Wow, Kipnis, salty, saying he didn’t think the better team won.

T. Frazier wants to play in NY again next year it seems.  I guess I’d do it for say $3 million.

Little known fact about Kipnis, he sucks now.

When the ball popped out of Gary’s glove why didn’t he have to tag Jackson?

433 I don’t want Head and Todd. Todd may go to Mutts.

Headley’s gone.  They’ll trade him to…why not, the Padres.

Todd ain’t signing for 3 mil

This has been fun so far. You ppl make it funner. I went to Pinstripe Alley the other day and holy shit that comment section is like where rationality goes to die.

The A-Rod/Papi banter on that post game show is amazing, A-Rod is such a good natured dork. I love him.

Also I love David Robertson, a LOT.

Robertson deserves a plaque more that Tino Martinez.

[436] He walked towards the dugout.

I’d just like to point out that the Yankees have won every game I’ve watched this postseason.  Watched Wild Card, missed ALDS games 1 & 2, watched 3-5.  Conclusion: I am personally responsible for reaching the ALCS.

Remember what the reprogramming sequence looked like in A Clockwork Orange?

[445]  I just remember the glorious music of Beethoven.

Yay Mo!

Maybe now the clowns who keep trying to trade Gardner can STF up.
