I think when the Tanaka deal was first announced we all would’ve signed up for “A 2017 line not unlike that of Martin Perez.”

Andrus never had more than 8 home runs in a year before, 20 so far this year.

They thought they had us where they wanted.

This woulda been a good time for Archer to wake up.

Todd what were you thinking?

how the f#ck do you run into the third out at third base on a ball hit in front of you? TFrazier is utterly inept and brings zero value.

4 Wait a few days.

Crushed it.

“Bernie Williams and Paul O’Neill would come in here and just pound” uhhhhhh ... Kenny?

That’ll do, Hiro.

Gonna be one of those days. Tanaka with some tough luck a bouncer off the cement over Todd’s head and a foul ball Judge shoulda caught.

Woulda liked that way more the previous AB

And this is why I wish they had pulled Green after he got the final out in the 6th rather than let him pitch up 8.

Yankees just can’t stand prosperity. Bad baserunning, chances to knock out a struggling pitcher, whatever it takes.

Oh well, if Tanaka is going to suck, you’re probably going to lose.

Bring in Green. Oh wait.

I think we all know which Todd Frazier’s fault this is.  (It’s Todd Frazier.)

Todd Frazier fucks up again.

Hopefully KC can come back, because this game sure ain’t going to turn out well.

This is why I think Tanaka might be wise not to opt out.  Disaster outings, elbow a ticking bomb.

It’s a really interesting question for Tanaka. I think that there is still a decent argument for him to opt out, but it’s not obvious.

It’s funny that Kahnle was SO good in Chicago that his numbers are still really good. Plus, I guess inherited runners scoring doesn’t hurt your ERA and he’s good at giving up inherited runners.

Bad pitching, terrible baserunning by Todd, a botched catch by Judge, failure to get big hits, leaving Tanaka in too long and why did Green pitch yesterday with an EIGHT RUN LEAD

Blown 6-1 and 5-1 leads in the last four days. Tell me again why they are a playoff team?

The Yankees have broken Kahnle, thanks.

Second called third strike outs in big ABs for Judge, but a double otherwise. Is he just joking for a walk so Sanchez can do the job?

RHBs are hitting 455 against Rodriguez.

I missed a bit, did Gardy screw up defensively?

Green= hold 8 run lead

Ever notice whenever Kay says how bad a team’s pen is they totally shut us down and how infrequently our pen ever escapes from a crucial situation?

[27]  Tough play but yes, ball went off his glove.

Turns out the Yanks were smart to give up on Kahnle and stupid to get him back.  Hoocoodanode.

Caleb Smith seriously. In a 2 run game. Binder throwing in the towel.

Binder’s losing his mind. At least go Heller.

Best pen ever.

Remind me again the playoffs. As I said, this is an easy team to dislike, on several levels.

The Yankees pitching coach broke Kahnle, who has an unreal whiff-rate on his FB (three times league average), so since coming over they have him throwing far fewer FB’s.

I wish YES, the media would bring this up. One size fits all pitching coaching makes no sense.

I like Sonny Gray a lot but if he can’t go 7 or 8 that’s a problem.  Right now no one but Sevvy can give you length.

Five runs and a 4 run lead after 2 1/2, shutout the next 6 and 10 unanswered by Texas. Tuesday 6 runs after 2 and a 5 run lead after 1 1/2, shut out the next 7 and 6 unanswered by the O’s. The Tuesday game was far more frustrating and depressing but considering the state of the Texas pen this was far more pathetic. If ever a team was not worthy of playing in the post season this is it.

Once it got to 5-3 didn’t it seem like the Yankees were unlikely to win?

Once they fell behind you knew it was over.
