Look at Tim Beckham.

That lineup would be great if they had a 1b and DH who were good. Basically what the Yankees were for quite a while.

Resting Holliday? In the near future if Bird and Holliday stay healthy and are hitting (please) I’d like to see 3-Gary, 4-Bird, 5-Holliday with Judge 2 or 6.

Yankees donating 100K to Harvey and Hal/Hank can’t spare a penny more now that they had to shell out for Eric Kratz. Sandra Bullock donated 1 million, Rockets owner 10 million, Michael Dell 36 million.  Jerry Jones 1 million arguably cheaper considering its Texas.

100K from an organisation valued in the billions is pretty fucking pathetic.

Deja Monty Vu?

Didi 1/20, do the Yankees have an inordinate number of streaky hitters?

Kluber pitching?

Kind of surprised they didn’t start Garcia off his and Monty’s last starts. And nice job Didi.

2 You were saying about their 1B?

After two weeks on the road, I’m way behind in my depression-spiral Yankee miserablism.

Judge is first rookie with 100 BB’s since 1953. Only sixth rookie to do that.

This is simply not the kind of game the Yankees win EVER. Kay a little confused on the call. Didi slump over?

That was a Castro swing Gardy.

Yankees really making pitcher counts elevate last few days.

Very nice Didi.

Starling who arguably had the biggest hit of the season yesterday comes through again.

Could be a decent shape now with Montgomery through four and Dr. Green on call.

19 Yep. 17 I can’t hate Buck after all he gave me an exciting 95 playoff run.

The O’s do not have a spectacular farm system, but Duquette made two great moves in acquiring young players from other teams in Beckham and Castro. I think Castro is going to be the type of starting pitcher to strike out 180 and walk 100 next season for an overall solid performance. No idea why the Rockies gave up on Castro so quick after getting him and Hoffman for Tulo.

[20] He brought Jack McDowell into the game. He’s a war criminal.

A rare time I agree with the bunt.

Why is the league allowing the Yankees to stagger the suspensions? “Oh, we don’t want your suspensions to inconvenience you.” Why do they care?

Castro says “RISP fail, whats that?”

[24] Now, if they were really nice, they’d suspend Sanchez and Romine at different times..

Maybe Gary plea bargained and Romine didn’t.

What the hell, D-Rob?

12 pitches, 2 strikes?!

WTF is it with this pen??

Way to settle down, D-Rob!

That’s better.

Classic D-Rob inning.

Nice game for judge- 4 walks and a single.

Not so much for bird 0 for 5

To paraphrase Bob Dylan, please Dellin, no heart attack machine.

[37]  You keep it up with the Bob Dylan jokes and see if you get a FB message next birthday.

greatest bull pen almost had a scoreless game. First 4 innings = 0 hits and 7 Ks. But alas with one out to go a solo HR. Then another K.

Chad Green is very good.

That’s really a hell of a win. Fall behind 3-0 in the first game of a big road series and comeback. Great job by the pen, especially Chad Green. Castro is on fiah. Can the Yankees go on a sustained run right here? The answer my friends, is blowin’ in the wind.

[40]  Yeah, totally agree and…WAITAMINUTE!!!

Don’t suppose Toronto could do a solid today ...

42. Anything can Happ en

Winning the division would be good enough, but there would be something extra juicy about it if the Townies lined up Sale to face the Yankees four times down the stretch, the Yankees win in 5 of Sale’s starts vs. them this year, and they blow the division using lesser pitchers against weaker teams.

How many roads must a man walk down? Four.

Damn but the Halos can score.

Damn but the Halos can score.

They definitely can, but it’s interesting that they just added MORE offense instead of getting some pitching. 9 runs to Oakland? They pulled it out (of course they did) but still.

The Twins just do NOT quit. Goddamn!

Phew, the Rays not only got out of trouble, but then tacked on some insurance runs.

Sox on their way down.  2 in the loss column…

Division in play. Until this 5 game losing streak incoming

51 Get real, only the WC is realistic. Soon they will have this year’s Cy Young, last year’s and 2012’s, this year’s ROY and MVP and will be the clear WS chalk.

2 1/2 games back. This is always a big number for me, because I can remember being a kid in ‘96 and watching the Yanks’ division lead dwindle, and seeing 2 1/2 games on the back-page of the Post like a harbinger of death. 2 1/2 games is close!

So, the Sox are on pace to win 90 games. If they do that, going 13-11 in their final 24, the Yankees would need to go 16-9 ti win the East. That’s a .680 w% over 25 games, or a 110 win pace.

When I put it that way I don’t particularly love their chances.

At least the Townies have to close with 4 vs. Houston. Though it’s the last series of the season and Houston could be running out greg Swindell and Doug Drabek by then.

Houston will likely still have something to play for if Cleveland continues to win every day. HFA is not nothing.
