‘The Return of the Stinkees: Younger, Stinkyer’. Limburger for all.

The pitcher is a descendant of Dracula.

Get ‘em on, get ‘em hopeful, leave ‘em there.

This team is hilarious, dark comedy at its most sublime. Is it statistically possible to be this bad in these situations without choking being a factor?

Tanaka REALLY wants to give up a bomb to Bautista.

Frazier made the whole Hicks thing easier by getting hurt.

If we can hit like 6 solo hrs a game we’ll be fine.

So the trick is to keep the bases clear and the pressure off.

It seems wrong that Todd Frazier had more home runs than Gary Sanchez.

?

Frazier got pulled from the lineup with an oblique strain, so that makes it easy for them to just put him on the DL when they activate Hicks this Friday. Otherwise, it was going to be an awkward decision as to who to send down between Frazier and Cooper.

9 Yep Sun Tzu The Art of Baseball

[11]
Well, damn. Hadn’t seen that. Thanks.

[10]
There’s a reason for that.

Kevin Pillar is way to close to another name.

I won’t front. Tanaka giving up runs on walks and hits piss me off more than when he gives up solo home runs. Solo home runs are just sort of the “you live with it” effects of a flyball pitcher.

By the way, wow, what a crazy play!

[14]
Something must have happened. I was sure they were going to give up AT LEAST that second run. (I was out for a few minutes)

Just a run down on a grounder to third, but they almost fucked it up, leading the runner TO home plate, but luckily they pulled off the out at home. Basically, if you had bad feelings about Sanchez’s instincts behind the plate, that run down sure wouldn’t have allayed any of them. TANAKA had to be the one who made the tag on a sliding play at the plate.

O Solo Mio

Runners on base freak them out.

Didn’t Judge ONLY hit HRs with men on base in the first half?

Why isn’t this being played at the Rogres Centre ?

Well, I don’t know whether they deserved to score that run, but seldom have I seen a pitcher who so richly deserved to give it up.

At least the Rays losing is good for the Wild Card chase.

Do you bring in a reliever the next time Tanaka gives up a runner? They have the depth to split the next three innings between Green and Warren and then bring in Kahnle for the 7th.

That was a pathetic at-bat by Tanaka. It’s Ryan fuckin’ Goins, not Josh Donaldson.

If he doesn’t get Lopez, they better pull him.

[22] LOL

It’s something!

TFW your 5-6-7 hitters all have home runs and you score only 3 runs.

GOTTA be the classic strike out/fly ball combo right here, right?

You fucked up, Frazier, the ball wasn’t supposed to be a line drive, it was supposed to be a catchable fly ball!

Sanchez did his part, at least.

Blind squirrel finds acorn! TFS

I KNEW he wanted to do that

Love the unprovoked shot at Neagle. Coney really is the best.

Once they had the 4-run lead, I guess letting Tanaka go batter to batter was defensible, even if the result was sadly predictable.

It’s kind of nuts how few games this awesome bullpen has actually BEEN awesome.

And good of Kanhle to wait until he was a Yankee again to lose his command.

Look at this lockdown bp go.

Best pen ever. Tanaka with 5 walks sweet.

It’s in the contract the that the pen must suck. Of course they were good yesterday.

This is all part of the Selig induction celebration. That’s what it is.

Of course they were good yesterday, since it didn’t matter. In all seriousness, since the creation of the awesome bullpen, how many times have they entered in the sixth inning or earlier in a win where they didn’t give up a run. Has it even happened once?

Once. It’s happened ONCE. The game where Caleb Smith started and they pulled him in the fourth. Even there, the bullpen might have given up one of Smith’s runs.

Tons o’runs, unexpected. More, pleze.

Girardo is the guy who can burn down this bullpen, if anyone can.

You can’t have an injury delay for some 51 year old fat asshole 3B coach who falls on his ass. I mean seriously. Why do they even get to wear a uni ? He should be out there in a bathrobe and slippers carrying a martini glass. Play on. Play. On.

Do they call timeout because my glass is empty and I have to take a wicked leak ? No. They do not.

And Judge extends his Yankees record of K’s in straight games.

“Do they call timeout because my glass is empty and I have to take a wicked leak? No. They do not.”

How wrong is that?

Ref finally contributed !

So yesterday my new Roku TV arrived and I set it up. I had to buy a new fucking TV because MLB.TV* decided to discontinue support for HD Flat Panel Internet Enabled Smart TV’s older than 4 years because….well, because they’re dicks. That’s why. The whole lot of them.

So my new TV is 4k - whatever that means, as if I can tell with my 55 year old eyes and +4.5 lenses - and lemme tell ya it is fabulous for everything.

MLB.TV doesn’t work work a damn - instead of the twirling pinwheel of death that tells you it is buffering they have replaced that with a progress bar and a convenient “Loading…” message.

Totally worth the $1100 forced upgrade. Totally.

Every single one of these fuckers should be horsewhipped.

*the fuckers

But it’s not a big deal because it only goes into “Loading….” mode a few times an inning, and after 15 minutes everything is normal again for at least a batter.

They’re not booing, they’re chanting: COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!

Hey, I’ve only missed 3 runs worth of scoring ??? Yay MLB.TV*

*bastards, all

51 I recently bought a TV and found the last model 43” TV, a 2015 Samsung, that is not a smart tv.  When there’s a lot more 4 K programming maybe I’ll upgrade.

Yay hey ! It’s back. Just came out of “Loading…” mode.

Only to present “Commercial break in progress” and then….you guessed it…“Loading…”

Cooper is the new Maas, Spencer, Clint Frazier.

[57]
Ride that horse while the ridin’s good, sayz Eye.

[56] Maybe the problem is your service provider and/or modem.

[57] You forgot Judge.

For anyone contemplating a purchase of MLB.TV, or a new TV to afford them the opportunity to then make the subsequent MLB.TV purchase, my wife is completely satisfied with how I’ve chosen to spend 3 weeks of our retirement income budget.

She is ecstatic. And she lets me know every 35 seconds of so, while we watch the “Loading….” screen. And she does so with many statements on her view of my financial accumen, technical savvy, decision making, and all around prowess.

I know what you’re gonna say, MLB.TV support drone. Reboot my cable modem. Reboot my laptop. Clear my cookies. Reinstall NextDef. Reboot my cable modem. I know. I’ve been through this before. Saw the movie. Read the book. Went to the fan fest.

Clearly the problem is my connection. Because the laptop can’t ...oh. Well, the TV has no signal, which is why Youtube, Amazon Video and Netflix are all locked up….oh. Well….

Maybe the thing to do is to just sack everyone involved in your “connected devices” department. Starting with the VP.

TODD FRAZIER MUST GO !@12@2!! He stinks. We need to promote some of our short season A-ball players to the majors. TFS cost us this game !!! He’s only on this team because of Ca$hmoney !1111!

Also, yay non-sweep.

59 Denial

I was getting some soup and ahead of me were some customers talking about how the Yankees fucked up by not trading for Jay Bruce. Huh? How dumb are these people?

That’s the kind of element you encounter at souperies.

I hope the lesson wasn’t lost.

Go for pizza, ribs, hell - go for beef on weck if you can manage it. You won’t find them any smarter but at least you’ll be better fed.

And they were really adamant about it. About how they were so dumb not to deal for Jay Bruce. What in the what?! “What is the point of having a good farm system if you can’t use it to get someone like Bruce?”

Aha, never mind. I see what happened. The Yankees actually DID make an offer (I guess they would have had Bruce play first?) and the Mets took the Indians’ offer of worse prospects in exchange for not having to pay any of his contract. The Yankees wanted the Mets to pay some of the contract. I apologize, soup customers!

Soup Customers Stink !!!1!1!31!21@11!

No soup for you!

[60] Who is your service provider? Call them, have them check your connection from the office, if it looks good you may well need a service call. Could be a problem with the modem, as I said, rebooting will not take care of modem problems. Try connecting direct to the modem if you have a router in between.

Poor thing.
