No one with a no trade clause will ever accept a trade to the NYY after seeing this lineup. Quibbling but TRO’s OBP higher than Clint’s so I’d flip flop them.

I think it makes a lot of sense to use tonight as a chance to give guys rest. They’re not scoring off of Kluber anyways, ya know?

Unlike Judge and maybe Holliday Todd’s not slumping.

Yeah, but everyone needs rest.

Look, you get as many lefty bats in vs. a right-hander, and the rest of it will take care of itself.

If they wanted to haze the new guy why didn’t they just have Judge kick Sonny in the nuts instead of posting this lineup behind him?

Because they’re not hazing him, they’re hazing us.

If this team could just shore up its baserunning, defense, starting pitching and clutch hitting, they could go places.

Not JUST the clutch hitting.

looks like Sonny Gray is taking the night off too. Great. Where’s Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman now to tell us Sonny Gray is like Santa Claus and Mother Theresa for us Yankees fans. Not an ace, never was one and won’t ever be one. Best thing about the deal is opening up spots on the 40-man roster.

Did anyone think he was going to be an ace? I think most people agreed he’s a solid No. 2, cost-controlled for another couple of years.

Will, I didn’t see it, but the team committed three errors behind him in the field in one inning. No earned runs. Are you saying it was more his fault than that would imply?

I’m not concerned about him it’s the hitting that bothers me.

Just checked the play by play Gray was certainly fucked over by the defense in his first inning.

Was that Gary or Castro? Could tell from that AB.

Whatever Yankees but Gary that AB was effing piss poor.

That’s supposed to evoke a sense of triumph, right?

Romine sure gives you a lot of offense for a backup catcher.  McCann wouldn’t fit in at all on this team.

Two out hits to the 7/8 hitters both hitting around 230. There goes the 2-1 loss.

Maximal time for that Gary.

Zzzzzzzzzz ...

Excellent job by the Yankee hitters. Top notch and BTW the townies will not split with the pathetic White Sox as we did. The townies scored more runs in the first today then we have in THE LAST THREE EFFING GAMES TOTAL.

Binder “we’ve been sluggish lately and have to figure it out.” Understatement of the month.
