CC’s nickname should probably be the Cooler if he throws up another clunker.

Why wouldn’t his nickname be the clunker?

Gameday shows Arod popping out on a fastball middle-middle.  I bet it was worse than that.

I turn on the tv, find a Yankeeography on YES, switch to my9 and hear “the Yankees don’t score in the top of the first.” Sounds right.

I’ll just root for so many RISP that 15-20% of them will be plenty.

Gotta keep this team in check, 5 game streaks are bad for the psyche. Good teammate, CC.

Man CC looks wretched so far.

And [7] was before a bases clearing double by the black hole that is Matt Diaz. Jesus Christ.

good ol’ Suckathia

Nothing like turning the game on late and seeing that they’ve already gone 0 for 2 with RISP and are trailing 3-0.

For a good team, this team sorta stinks.

Matt Diaz would never fit in as a Yankee.

Mike Minor has been pretty much the worst pitcher in baseball, so if there was ever a night to get completely shut down, this is it

A-Rod pops out on a 90 MPH fastball down the middle. Sabathia throwing low 90s with no command, as we’ve all been worried about since Spring Training. This game looking like a total vibe wounder. By the way typing on an I-Phone sucks.

I’m thinking maybe not playing Stewart in games without a DH would be a good strategy.

It’s looking like one of those games already…

oh the National League.

Oh good, now Cano may be hurt.

Yeesh, what an awful throw by Stewart.

Yeah, I’m on the edge of my seat for CC’s AB.

Long gone in DNYS.

Gameday says Jeter’s fly out was over the wall!

4 15/20% seriously.  As if!
Stewart really brings out the best in CC (he’s still in the rotation? )

Is the Clunker going to do that thing where he gives up 3 or 4 runs over 7 innings while looking terrible the whole time?

CC has nothing

What a meatball

Holy shit, CC! 4 doubles in 4 innings?!

They’ve got to figure out what’s wrong with CC or it’s all a moot point.

It’s amazing how he can pitch this poorly and still hold them to just the 3 runs so far.

Jeter didn’t want CC running the bases.

Has CC settled down, or are the Braves just cold?

So this guys era is a misprint should read 2.57?

Now they can’t hit with the bases empty either

We need some errors, wild pitches and a solo home run to have a chance.

CC looking a little bit better

Still doesn’t have his FB.  Maybe BC should teach him how to live with his offspeed stuff

But WOE looking a lot worse.
How stupid are those Direct TV ads?

In all seriousness, if the Mets win tonight I can’t be too pissed off.

[37] Almost as stupid as the car commercials.

I don’t see these people scoring three runs in two innings against the Braves bullpen.

QS shutout loss is still in play.

Granderson is bad at defense.

I don’t see these people scoring 3 runs in two innings against the Toledo Mudhens bullpen that is unless Atlanta adds on for the CT

At least we won’t have to use real pen

They really should outlaw these team mascot themes that demean our native peoples.

I say force the team to become the Atlanta Hello Kitty’s.

Even when CC is awful, he is pretty good.

[23] Yes

If this is the price we pay for Nova, Kuroda, Pettitte and Hughes, so be it.

Nice, another chance to sink the RISP numbers further into the depths.

I have a question.  Why do the Yankees play the Braves AGAIN next week at the Stadium?  I don’t remember them playing 2 interleague series against a non-Mets team before.  Seems odd.

Also this game blows.

Teix is guaranteed to walk here just to piss us all off even more.

OK, how will this triple play unfold?

Tie Gehrig’s record now, Alex.

This is just toooo funny.

DP coming up.

According to the AA theory, Arod isn’t going to hit here.

ARod 1 for 10 with bases loaded, 3 double plays.

[53] It won’t. The GIDP ends the inning when you already have 1 out.

Arod missed the 3-1 badly

Need walks, wild pitches and errors to succeed.

haha.  This is amazing.

Need walks, wild pitches and errors to succeed.

THANK YOU, ALEX!!!!

A-rod! A hit with RISP! That scored runs!

What a moment!

That is not entirely unacceptable.

Dear Nerds,

Put that in your objective pipe and smoke it.

Sincerely,

Centaur

The Rod!

[54] This !

Line drive caught, Tex doubled off first? Oh wait.  WTF?

That was unexpected.  I don’t see these people scoring any more runs against the Braves bullpen though.

CC gets the win.

Wow, you can tell how much that meant to A-Rod. You see his face as he walked back to the dugout? It basically WAS a whole “yeah, fuck you all” look.

Alex, all is forgiven.  Please come home.  We love you.

Awww, can’t they just leave this guy in tonight?

And I don’t think I’ve ever heard a stadium boo more than they were just booing after A-Rod’s homer.

I am super happy for Alex.

81: huh? It sounded like Yankee Stadium with all the cheers.

Swisher!

CC is now in line for the win. Hilarious!!!

That was also unexpected.  I don’t see these people scoring any more runs against the Braves bullpen though.

The sad thing is that Turner Field is louder for Yankee rallies than Yankee Stadium.

I don’t believe it.

Effing home runs are momentum killers.

Holy flurking schnitt.  All right, I’m a believer now.

It sounded like Yankee Stadium with all the cheers.

During the home run, yeah. AFTER the home run, though, the Yankee fans were no longer cheering so it was just Brave fans booing.

Which, of course, has led to the Yankee fans responding with chants now.

[86] See [76].

So did CC retroactively pitch to the score?

There’s a word I’m looking for here. Swishtastic? Swishariffic? Swishtabulous? Oh, it’ll come to me ...

Gearrin pitched two innings last night. Horrible managing by Gonzalez. My negativity sucked earlier but I am worried about CC a bit. Awesome inning here.

rilke called it, CC for the win.

Double reverse jinx by SG

uh oh, fight time!
