When I saw VIzquel’s name in the lineup I asked myself when the last time Derek Jeter was the younger of the two starting shortstops in a game. Then I saw that Jeter is not in the lineup tonight and it was moot.
We’ll see if Toronto still has the worst record in the AL East vs. the other AL East teams after this series is over.
Comments
expected wins over the next two days? 0.5?
Which is also the expected number of Teixeira hits.
Which is also the expected number of Teixeira hits.
So he’s improving, then.
Kyle Drabek no hitter - heard it here first.
I am late. I try to be the first to say TEX STINKS. 4 years + 125 more games. ugh.
Kuroda with the negative FIP. Let’s quit while we’re ahead.
Teixeira’s pathetic little chopped ground balls can’t even go the other way.
Tex should bunt at least once this season
Wow, Nix never had a chance.
Cano is a lazy defender
I love that the Blue Jays go out of their way to fuck the Yankees. Lawrie suspended? Okay, but he’s not going to serve it against the Yankees, by gum!
And there’s the game
The top of these innings seem to be running on a loop with grounder after grounder to the right side.
What’s amazing about Vizquel’s longevity is that he is not even playing WELL!
Yankee land has not been the same for the last 2 weeks. Even here it is very quiet. Sad feeling.
Also, Vizquel has been in the top ten oldest Major Leaguers for five seasons now! Only Wakefield kept him from being the oldest player in the AL these past four seasons.
Let’s say that’s the ballgame.
This team is in some serious trouble.
At least we are going to watch Drabek pitch a no-no
[12] And the bottom is a loop of ball after ball going over the wall.
why does girardi even bother submitting lineups?
17 Amen. This team desperately needs Kuroda to be lights out not maddeningly inconsistent. Nova too. We’re in deep do do.
It’s alright, we’ve got Hughes pitching tomorrow!

Very impressive tonight, Yankees.
So, SG, care to revise those projections?
These guys suck.
Can the Yankees finish last in the AL East?
The Yankees have jumped the shark.
maybe the shark also bit their arms off?
At this point, I really don’t see Cervelli being any worse than Martin has been at the plate. It would be nearly impossible.
Martin has an above average OBP. Not easy to have one as a catcher
Yeah, I think it’s time for new projections.
Kenny with the subtle McGuire/Bautista reference.
So a number 6 is our number 2 it seems. Just bad luck for us that Jays wore their hitting shoes. Hey Binder buy the Yankees some hitting shoes.
why can’t this team hit bad pitchers?
probably because of Teix (and Joba).
Injuries + shit seasons for guys like Tex and Martin = a team not worth watching
Tonight at least either the Sox or the Rays will lose as well…
Swisher’s OBP is .323? Nice.
Time to take the chicken, beer, and video games out of the clubhouse.
What’s the overall era of our starters?
I’m just glad they don’t even bother with the teases anymore.
We need some kind of primate mascot to inspire rallies…a sort of “rally ape.” Or is “rally lemur” better?
Awesome! 3-4-5 due up!
41 The Monkey’s Paw is our only hope.
[39] 4.93 (higher now), 4th in the AL (from the bottom).
44: as long as we score 6 a game oh wait WOE.
