How hard would it be to change the clickable thing that says /XX Comments at the bottom of every post to /XX Complaints.

Cause that would be funny. And tonight especially, true.

I endorse [1] with the modifier that any comment containing the following words be counted as complaints: Joba, Fuse, Iguana, pelican, Cashputz. Everything else tallied as a Comment.

Then we can have a trailer that says something like 84 Comments, 12 Complaints.

Just a thought.

Come on, guys, get in line.  I’m still waiting for my Jeff Karstens icon.

they shouldn’t even play this game. all of the yankees should just come up to Verlander, tip their cap to him, and then one by one go back to the dugout. The game will just be a long form version of that.

[1] I laughed.

Go SuperNova!  Give me something to cheer about!

Can we move the comments link to the top of the post? Sometimes you write a massive post, and once I’ve read it, I want to just get to the comments. But if the post is massive enough (like the position projections for example), you have to scroll a lot to find the link.

[2] That ratio sounds really unrealistic. I’m sure it would be at least 1:1 complaints to comments if the algorithm were set correctly.

GUYS! YOU GUYS! We’re all worrying over nothing. Pineda can be back in 10 months or less. It’s all up to him.

Curt Schilling said so.

I think we’re going to see a few TYM’s tonight. Go Nova!!

[9] You found a site streaming the ‘98 Postseason ?

Maybe he means GIDPs. (captain gidp, why have you forsaken me?).. drinking early..

Human element….

Granderson!

A run!

Waldman is not impressed with Fielder’s fielding ability.

First step: Run. Second step: Lots o’ runs.

Didn’t “Don Kelly” dominate us in the playoffs last year?

When is Gardner coming back?

Wait, let me clarify: First step: Run. Second step: Lots o’ runs for Detroit.

My god.

Sweet! We have the worst left fielder in baseball

Johnny Damon definitely wouldn’t have gotten to that.  Definitely.

I don’t know what the ump is trying to tell us with these calls. It’s not like he’s calling it tall, or low, or wide, or narrow.

Merman Strikes !!! The Seagoing Iguana.

Wow, Ibanez isnt just a bad fielder; he’s laughably bad.  Gardner catches that ball in a light trot.

Should there be a new category for the box score?  I?  F?  I mean, that’s not an error, but that’s the second time a single has been Iganez’d into a triple…

[24] I think they need to allow the scorer to assign the E to the manager.

Score that E-10.

Nova is one cool customer.

If the answer is “Ibanez can play left.” then you should punch whoever said that.

Ibanez is the worst I’ve ever seen.

here’s a fun game while we watch this travesty unfold. list in order of favoritness your 10 favorite current Yankee players.

2) Robertson
3) Gardner
4) Swisher
5) Mo
6) Granderson
7) Cano
8) Sabathia
9) A-Rod

[28] Jose Canseco says hello.

USS Mariner was laughing about Ibanez’s defense at least four years ago. I can’t imagine time has been kind.

5) ARod
6) Robertson
7) Cano

Yankees sure are wizards with defensive positioning.

[35] Really annoying to watch those slow grounders get through. Too bad we have a very bad manager with a very good team, because the good team thing it’s not going to last long

[35] Do you mean as good at defensive positioning as Rincewind as a wizzard ?

I think the whole “we need to get under the luxury tax at all costs,” is a bunch of posturing, I’ll believe it when I see it.”

i guess the good news is that verlander will be at 50 pitches thru three. so there’s hope he doesn’t go the distance and maybe we can do something against the bullpen. Or something.

they lost the game already, no way they comeback

Has any team ever made the postseason with a 10-152 record ?

Does the Nova streak end tonight?

Jeter is my favorite Yankee, and Tex is my least favorite.

My least favorite Yankees, post-AJ era, are Teix, Iguana, Jones, Joba, Fuse.

In no particular order. They all disappoint, with little to redeem themselves to me.

Teix definitely the worst.

A-rod!

Oh. Nice job, Mark.

Right on cue!

I am on the verge of openly hating Teix.

Holy shit, strike 3 was filthy

Ibañez is my least favorite player ever. He can’t take a fucking pitch once. His OBP is .280 with a .260 AVG. I wish he strikes out every time untill he gets DFA’d

I’m gettin’ pretty close with Iguana, too.

Yeah, I would much prefer Jones play LF and Chavez/Arod DH.  Not sure if that’s rational or what but this lizard looks cooked.

Might feel more comfortable with Nunez in left.

Yes, their positioning does seem to be particularly horrible.

Is Gardner on Oxycontin? He looks pretty stoned out there.

Fuck yes!

Come on Nova!

Now that was effen awesome. Holy Son of a Yogi.

Mmm…Kate Upton

1. Jeter
2. Mariano
3. Nova (if he wins tonight)
4. Granderson
5. Pettite
6. Gardner
7. Martin
8. CC
9. Cano
10. A-rod

It really took awhile and a lot of soul searching to get that list.

Everything clicking on defense right now. Yeesh.

Turning to shit awful fast no?

Yankees suck.

Wow, Nova couldnt wait to give that lead up.  Three straight hits in about 2 min.

Martin’s not framing pitches well enough. That’s what it is.

More wonders of the human element enhancing the game.

No time to make the play even if he picks that clean. Plus, he had no angle to throw.

I like contract year Swish. We should go year-by-year from now on for all players.

Holy me in a softball game after 5 beers.

Iguana does that on both sides of the ball.

[28] Don Kelly says “Hello”.

[66] Nope. This is Girardi. Can’t stand this guy any more. Nova has nothing tonight. Absolutely nothing. Facing Verlander. After an off day. Everyone rested. Against Verlander. Think I’ll stick with Nova after I take the lead in the bottom of the 5th. Oh, wait. Jhonny Peralta led off with a double? Think I’ll stick with Nova.

This guy really is the pits. I cannot stand Joe Girardi. I just loathe the guy.

John, I just spent 4 minutes trying to think of a snarky response to your angry diatribe.  You win. I got nuttin’ bro.

Whoa, Dotel is still around

Mo
Rivera
Mariano
Jeets
Robertson
Cano
Grandy
Gardy
CC
Martin
Valentine
Aceves
Melancon

What’s the point, moron? You lost the game in the top of the 6th. Sure, you might win. But this stupid wheeling and dealing with your binder now misses the point. You blew it.

Yes, of course TWN are busting out in Chitown. Of course.

[80] Binder has been tossed.

“A rare walk by David Robertson” - MLBN dude

[82] I bet there’s no way he’s communicating with his binder buddies still on the bench.

A few years ago, I would have had a very good feeling that Alex would take a guy like Benoit deep.

Nice jinx YZ. Well done.

Great, Tex can drive him home!

I’m just trying to do my part.

Cano is totally fucking cooked.

Squeeze?

Pin does his part too. Very nice. Next for Text….

Give Teix the “take” sign, please.

The impossible has happened!

Nova’s streak lives on.

What an effen team lads.

Offense and bullpen: Carrying the Yanks since ‘04.

Leyland you saint.

Chavez will k on 2 pitches. Bank.

Wait, IBBing Iguana ? Detroit has a binder, too.

And it worked Modammit.

Strike 1 was typical West BS.
