Johnny Cueto’s got the third lowest ERA for a starter in all of baseball, which probably means he’ll cut through WOE like a hot knife through butter.

at least Tex isn’t playing…but rght now this team is boring. Bring up Frankie C - at least one plater will show some excitement.

Cueto seems to have trouble throwing strikes today.  If we could hit with men on base that would probably be promising.

Ibanez looked horrible in that AB.

Cueto’s got sick stuff, doesn’t he?

[4] You saying he’ll be gone soon?

He’s safe as long as he continues to lead the team in SLG.

Does Cueto really think Chris Stewart is about to steal second?

No Kay, it was Jeter and Alfonso Soriano, not Knoblauch.

I liked April Jeter better

Cueto is showing an almost Hughesesque efficiency

I guess he just wanted to get a runner in scoring position to get the guaranteed out.  Smart pitching.

I fully expect us to build on the momentum from last night’s late inning gritty rally.  Or not.

This team just LOVES grounding into double plays.

Not cool Alex.

Thank god. Now it’ll only be a TWO-run HR.

Jesus wept, Alex.

OK, I give up.

I fucking love Raul Ibanez.

August!

He’s still not making it to the ASB.

Raoul be seeing you.  I wondered.

Ohwhattaplay! Sure Mike, the opposition’s defensive play is MUCH more exciting than the crucial two-run shot that benefits the hometown team.

Where would this team be without Ibanez?

This booing-until-they-throw-the-ball-back-on-the-field shit is making me not want to be a Yankees fan.

[22] It WAS a really nice snag. And he didn’t exactly short-change the homer. I’m not a Kay fan or anything, but I didn’t have beef with that inning.

The picture of 12 year old Frazier with Jeter is pretty priceless. Jeter’s fade is epic 90s.

Sabathia thought his FIP was too low, apparently.

Oh fuck me, are you fucking serious with this shit?

Can Ibanez pitch, too?

I don’t know about you guys, but this half inning is really putting me in the mood to Honor America.

It was fun to have the lead, albeit briefly.

0-2 effing pitch a guy hits his first homer.

[26] At this point, Yankee runs are a rare commodity and should be honored accordingly. Conversely, the opposition doing something well against this team has become all too common.

Votto home run probability: 10000%

[34] This is why CC needs to stop taking pointers from Hughes.

Considering my careful calculations in #36 I think we can be satisfied with that walk. Phillips’s home run probability is only 700%.

I can’t wait until the Townies pass us in the standings.

Oooh, exciting! Will it be an RBI BB or a bases-clearing double?

GARRGHKDFS:LKdjsfaldskjfcn

He’s walked three in a row Binder.  Don’t you think maybe it’s time to pull him?

Three straight walks and two home runs. Ace.

2 HR and 3 BB in this inning so far? A.J. Lives!

The hook, Joe. Use it.

FUCK THESE FUCKING FUCK FACED FUCKING FUCK FUCKERS!!

EAT AN ASS YOU FAT PIECE OF FUCK FACE

It’s official: Joe Girardi is brain-dead.

What a shitty inning for CC.

FU CC and Arod also.  A lead is a terrible thing
to waste.

This team is worth less than the pile of pig assholes at the local hot dog factory.

Also, fuck America and all its shitty fucking songs.

I can UNDERSTAND why Girardi left Sabathia in after Phillips walk, I just don’t agree with him. But hey, it “worked”. Now let’s listen to this shitty fucking song that we’ll be subjected to every game for the rest of our lives because of something that happened 11 years ago. Sorry to get all snippy about GBA but I just can’t fucking take it sometimes. I don’t want to watch poignant closeups of cops and think about the fucking World Trade Center every time I watch a fucking baseball game.

In a close game, you have to go with your best option, and there’s noone I trust more than CC. - Binder

Except when he’s totally fucking cooked and giving up 2 HR and walking in runs on 3 straight BB’s. - Dr. Pin, Available For Appendectomies, Cheap

Wise, do not swing…

Fucking idiot swung at ball four.

[53] Talk about not being politically correct…

That’s it.  The Yankees aren’t getting another runner on today.

Wise is bad at hitting,  very bad.  This is the best a 2 mil team can do.  We are Ali circa Holmes.

I just can’t take any more.

What the fuck is next?

This game is just totally awful, the last week has been pretty awful, WOE always sucks, but remember that we felt absolutely 100% exactly the same almost exactly one year ago. This team will look good eventually, I just hope it’s not too late when they do.

[62] Yes, and things worked out so swimmingly last year.

The boys from the Bronx aren’t winning this one, are they?

63 - Uh, yeah, they did. They won the division and then lost a coinflip short series in five games.

What Fresh Hell is Next?

This is nothing like last year. We had a good start going, and have been just destroyed by injuries. We will not recover from them to the same level of success as last year. Not happening.

Granderson is not looking like an average defensive CF this season.  The numbers are backing it up.

Only Chance to Tie the Game leading off the bottom half.

How far does Grandy have to hit one for it to count as two runs ?

‘cause we might need that to happen.

[65] You could read it that way. Or you could say they were so thin they were forced to turn to a starter they desperately were doing everything they could to avoid pitching in order to save their season in Game 4, which he inexplicably did. Before they had to go back to a rookie probably pitching over his head in Game 5. It was a team that was basically undone by a rainout.

[70] We’d probably need the pen to pitch two or three scoreless innings to get him back to the plate.

I think its time we all start taking solace in series where we avoid being swept. Victory is what you define it as.

Way to RUIN OUR CHANCES with that solid single, Granderson.

Dusty Baker pulling an effective, young pitcher after 110? That’s not the Dusty Baker I know.

[72] Unrealistic in the extreme. I say if he tags a taxi, it counts extra runs.

Not that it matters, but strike one to Cano was horseshit.

How does Marshall get it done? Don’t really understand him, he’s kind of an enigma. Which means the Yanks should sign him, of course.

Alex needs to avoid the DP here. I say give him the take sign, no matter what.

Iguana is our only hope.

Sometimes you have to put your hopes into the aging ex-star FA who is mostly cooked but still hits with power.

Nice AB Robbie, a true 2012 Yankee AB.  Except for the hated Raoul.
.

Fucking YES camera…

Oh my god how was that not a home run? Gaaaah.

I hate Michael Kay and I hate the YES cameraman.

What happened to your power

Hit the gym, Alex. Seems like there have been a few of those lately.

A-Rod thought it was gone, Ondrusek thought it was gone.  Kay and the camera man though it was gone.

But alas, it wasn’t.

Alex’s warning track power is supremely disappointing this season.

I’m sure they can score off Aroldis Chapman.

They need to move the left field fence in for the remainder of Alex’s contract.

Stupid mouse batteries.

Is Girardi ever going to use Soriano again in a non save situation?

So there I was jumping up and down cheering like a goddamn idiot as the ball fell into the outfielders glove. WTF? Alex’s power is gone.

I’m glad A-Rod lost all his power.  Now they don’t have to pay him all those home run bonuses.

I know it was hit hard but how the hell could a ball hit DIRECTLY AT Jeter be a base hit?

They have to play better than this, right?

The defense has been awful lately. Cano, Jeter, Arod, Granderson and Ibanez are playing very bad defense lately.

It’s clear that this team needs an injection of Vitamins T, S, B and G.

Not that we were scoring anything off Chapman anyway, but that’s definitely the ballgame.

Oh, for fuck’s sake.

Now we’re set up for a nice substantive CT rather than just a runner on second with two outs or something.

At least Alex’s homer wouldn’t have mattered.
