NJ.com: Bradley: Yankees hope to find A.J. Burnett a new home

A source with knowledge of the Yankee organization’s plan for the rest of the off-season said, “It’s a waiting game now to see if A.J. can be dealt. If he is, the Yankees will hope to get a bat in return, or save enough money to get a bat.”

It is tricky, of course, because the whole baseball world knows after the Yankees acquired (pending a clean physical) Michael Pineda from the Seattle Mariners and signed free agent Hiroki Kuroda that the next move Cashman would hope to make is to offload Burnett and a sizeable portion of the $33 million he is owed over the next two seasons.

JFC this is asinine.

31 yards…the Ravens guy was 32…

[196] Football is a really tedious game in the guise of violence.

GIANTS!

It’s good! It’s good!

Coughlin with the “go away kid, ya bother me” response to Eli trying to save his ass.

TOM BRADY, PREPARE TO DIE!!!!

SUPER GODDAMN BOWL!

[200] They saw the Cowboys do it and decided to try it out.

Alright, now go fuck the Patriots up!

Just beat Brady and Bellycheat.

That was much harder than it should have been.

Three pages. That oughta be good enough to DFA AJ, no ?

You think we need one more ? OK, we’ll get one more.

I am…..most pleased….I even still have beers left!!!

For the record, I tried making a new kind of soup this afternoon. Soup. Supe. Coincidence? Very clearly not. You’re welcome, Giants fans.

Best tweet seen tonight: ““See ‘The Phantom Menace’ in 3D” = “Re-live that skiing accident where you broke your leg but also a guy will run up and taunt you.””

216 good lord man.  You protect america and guarantee a giants SB?  can you help me re-fi?

[218] For the record, I am not a Marine. I just make magic soup. But that’s good enough in my book.

Wow, Clarence Royce was almost Han Solo!

Someone get Bradshaw the hook…

We won….and I still have beer left….I’m planning a two-day party for the Super Bowl.  You read that right…,  Any RLYW-ers in the Hoboken area that weekend are totally invited.  ANd to thinkg after last year (Eagles game) I wanted the lockout to cancel the season…

Eli looks remarkably chipper for someone who should be wrapped in ice head to toe.

Terry Bradshaw is only NOW waking up to the fact that Eli might stick in this league ?

#oxycontinmesseswithyou

I was at XLII in person - nothing will beat that; but damn i would love to beat the TWN team again; rivalries never die…I’ve been drinkin’

SF coach is kinda scary lookin’ dude.

[227] His eyes are too close together. Scary.

Not Vlad scary, but fake-that-you-forgot-something-back-in-the-office-and-get-off-the-elevator scary.

Mmmm. Celebratory Bulliet. The best Bulliet of them all, aside from every other Bulliet.

ESPN holding a wake for the better team right this very second. Asshats.

Hey - Bruschi(who now “works” for NESPN) was sitting next to Kraft at the end of the game.  Giants are fighting the Bristol power…..yet again….just like 4 years ago…

I hate those jackets the coaches are wearing. It looks like Coughlin was attacked by Wolverine.

I said the exact same thing during the game.

And what a game….two weeks to recover.  Might just be enough.

Agreed….all around….let’s get the monkey camera crew and we’ll be good….love you all…go Yankees….F the TWN…beer out…:)

That makes threeve on the Wolvie fashion-spotting.

Eli.

It’s good to see on the screen.

Quick question for those who know football better than I do. The FG attempt on 3rd down - if you miss it, you get another try? I think the answer is ‘no’, but if it’s a bad snap or something, then the kicker just jumps on it and you get another shot on 4th down. That’s the thought process, right?

That is correct.  Once the kick is made, you lose your downs, no matter what down you happen to be on.

[91] I’m in favor of calling for a fake-FG, but only telling the holder.

[196] They did.  Sort of.  Used to be if you had 3 timeouts left, you could call all 3.  Now, you’re not allowed to call back-to-back timeouts.  Which I think is fair; there could be a legitimate reason for wanting to call a timeout, like only having 10 men on the field, or if it is to tie the game you may see something where you think they may be faking it, and want to call a new defensive play.
