Take the under.

I’ll push.
1 man reaches base but is promptly picked off.

Cervelli makes Baby Jesus cry. Or itching for a chance.

I have a good feeling. Positive karma from hope week.

6-2 yanks

If Jesus is +20 hitter and Frankie is -10 hitter and -10 defense (pooma) is Jesus a -40 defender. Goldstein seemed to imply on bp today that actually yes he was (well he actually said you might as well put berkman back there)

Seems to be no hope he can catch next year

A. J. Burnett attempts his own perfection: not getting a single out in a game.

Hey, AJ’s doing better than Lester.  Ergo: Ace performance.

Irish, yeah, Goldstein was pretty rough on Jesus’ defense. I’m a bit surprised he thinks it’s that bad, however, I am totally OK with Jesus as a career DH. That kid is going to rake!

Maybe Cano can take it to King Felix.

King Felix dominates baseball’s worst team

MLB rumors reports that Zach McAllister is going to Cleveland to complete the Austin Kearns trade.

I can’t find this report anywhere else.  Is this correct?

If true, is this still a good trade?

Let me be the first to congratulate, etc.

McAllister is going and at this point he’s irrelevant in the organization.

As far as Montero’s D…I really can’t believe it’s as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

EDIT: And A.J. is terrible.

[10] McAllister was a back of the rotation guy at best. After this year his stock is pretty low.

My computer must be broken, because it shows a baserunner against King Felix.

Anyways, congrats to King Felix on his first career no-hitter.

Lester out.  9 runs in 2+ IP.

It’s amazing how when things are going bad, they REALLY go bad.  The Yankees can’t hit anything off Felix, understandably.  But then the Mariners #8 and #9 hitters get duck fart singles back to back off Burnett.  Can’t we get just one of those?  Maybe from a supposedly good hitter?

Lester out.  9 runs in 2+ IP.

Can’t wait to see how the Blue Jays blow that one over the next 6 innings.

My computer must be broken, because it shows a baserunner hit against King Felix.

Anyways, congrats to King Felix on his first career no-hitter complete game shutout.

This will be Felix’s 4th consecutive complete game against the Yankees.

How does WOE fail here? Fly-out into double-play?

Fails by bating ramiro pena

Ah, back to back hapless swinging K’s.  The crystal ball needs some polishing apparently.

So does AJ stay in until Lopez gets a hit off him?

Just until Branyon can hit another HR.

Sabathia, Hughes…and pray for no Lose?

Argonauts up two touchdowns on the Patriots.

It’s only a matter of time until Seattle trades King Felix to Boston for 4 tickets, 4 dogs, and 4 cokes.

Or 1 bourbon, 1 scotch, and 1 beer.

guess I made the right choice not waking up to watch this one…

4 hits? At least he didn’t finish the game this time.

Dude is effen royalty. Thats some pitching.
Yankees suck. Hard.

[28] RF- John Lee Hooker? Diggin’ them late 40’s shuffles?
Boom Boom.

When did Buck Showalter become manager of every freaking crappy team in the league ?

It’s a turn the page game.

Banuelos and Betances promoted to AA? If so, I guess I will be going to Trenton.

Can Jonathan’s pal Breslow close this baby out?

Trumbull, CT keepin’ the Yanks in 1st!

He can!

Another comeback victory for the Oakland A’s over the Rays to preserve the Yankees’ one-game AL East lead! Woohoo!!

I watched the end of the game on MLB Network and nearly every time I watch the feed from another team I remind myself that just due to Singleton’s presence, the Yankees actually have one of the better TV duos when it is Kay/Singleton, as a lot of these other teams make the Yankees’ announcers seem downright dispassionate.

[28] RF- John Lee Hooker? Diggin’ them late 40’s shuffles?

He’s a little relaxed to call this a shuffle...

I seem to be spending more time on ‘55-‘65 or so lately.

Every week A-Rod has a new injury. His contract is looking so comically bad at this point that I really hope it keeps them from doing anything stupid with Jeter.

[40] That’s what happens when the owners ignore the GM’s recommendation. Whether or not Jeter gets a stupid contact may turn on if they do that again.

Edit: We see Nunez today!

Today’s lineup:

Jeter ss, Swisher rf, Teixeira 1b, Cano 2b, Thames dh, Posada c, Kearns lf, Granderson cf, Nunez 3b

[38] Agreed. Singleton is terrific. Also miss Coney. They allow Kay’s routine to be the buffoon. Sadly, what we get all to often is Kay-Flaherty so Kay has to play the adult role to offset Flash’s Buffoon. He doesn’t have that range.

I guess Kearns wasn’t so cheap after all.

[40] And next season when he’s healthy and hits 40 homeruns? Sure, A-Rod is going to decline, and won’t be healthy all the time. And the contract was ALWAYS bad from the start. But the rush to declare him a shell of himself is pretty laughable. But then again, with ARod, things get that way

OK, so the Yankees are the worst team in baseball for August, having gone 10-10 so far.

The good teams?  Boston Sox 10-9, Tampa Rays 10-9, Texas Lees 7-10.

Sure, there’s the 13-5 Twins.  But they’re still the Twins (I hope).
