Not much to dislike -  fewer BBs, more Ks, less line drives, and a lower HR rate on Fly balls. Even I can’t complain - as long as they don’t use him as a situational reliever in the post season to get Hamilton out.

Is it my imagiantion, or was last night the second time this year that Chavez made an error with two outs in the 9th inning with Soriano on the mound?

It’s not your imagination, he dropped a pop up the other time to prevent at that time the first 1-2-3 inning by Soriano.

Cashmann and Girardi deserve a lot of credit for keeping Freddy on the team.

But between Freddie and Bert, they chose Freddie. I wasn’t sure that was the right decision. What has made that (or for that matter, anything regarding pitching) moot is the incredible performance of Hiroki Kuroda. The guy is awesome.

[18, previous thread] How about a movement to have Flaherty only do Boston games? In which they’re not playing New York, that is.

[5] Agree! I can’t stand Flash as a broadcaster. I rather have him hitting 4th and DHing than listening to him

[6] Listening to him discuss hitting is pretty funny though… its like listening to Rosie O’Donnell talk about he she won a beauty pageant.

“I am going to look for a fast ball to lean on right here” (pitcher then throws off-speed or a breaking ball 99.9% of the time on that pitch).
